Features of Silver Gallium Sulfide (AgGaS₂) include a wider tranparency range, a lower threshold for parametric oscillation, a higher optical damage threshold, and significantly lower temperature dependence of refractive indices. All these features permit it operate at higher power densities without self-focusing, resolution/efficiency decrease and phase matching losses.
